Pilates is an ideal form of exercise to carry you through your pregnancy. It is safe, gentle and client specific. Therefore you never need to worry or feel unsure.
Pilates focuses on countering the typical “Preggie Posture” that wants to set in. As the belly grows, the weight of the tummy pulls the lower back into an arch and the upper back starts to slouch forward. Pilates works to counter this posture and the injuries that come with it.
Doing pilates throughout your pregnancy will make you feel strong and will also boost your confidence. It also helps with fatigue, tiredness, blood flow and just overall physical and emotional wellbeing.
If you have had any complications, please consult with your doctor first whether it will be safe for you to exercise. If you have been to see a physio for any niggles or injuries, let us know about it and put us in contact with your physio.
We offer Pre-Natal exercise classes as well as Post-Partum rehabilitation.
